**A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS, TO WHOM THIS ALBUM WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT

My parents, George & Lisa, who provided the materials for me to chase this passion. Spencer Sargent, Trevor Whitney, Sean Raeside, Frank D'Amico, Ryan Johnson, Ben Schlotthauer, and Sean Moore for lending their talents to The Buried Heart's live performance. Sam Kohl, for listening to every shitty demo i've sent him and believing in me. Allen Casillas for taking the reigns on the production of this release and his guidance in both music and Pokemon training. Nick Loiacono for his incredible mixing and mastering skills. Andres Aparicio for writing the best pop album of 2017 and contributing his talent on "Opia". Alex Bemis for being my musical big brother and guide throughout the years. Bob & Christy Shahnazarian, who graciously allowed me to stay at their beautiful home during the recording of this EP. Jonathan Mazaltov for perfectly capturing the vibe of these songs in a photo without even hearing the songs first. Andrew Michael Wells, for helping me find the power in my voice. Christina Springer, for booking The Buried Heart in our infancy stages for bills we probably didn't deserve to play on but are eternally grateful to have had to opportunity to play. Rudy Rosatti for tracking the first Buried Heart demo and his past in the Crabcore scene (lol). Mark De Lang and the HEMISPHERE Music Community. And lastly to every person that has ever came out to a show or taken the time to listen to my music. You guys are the reason I keep going.

I OWE A LOT TO THE FOLLOWING BANDS WHO HAVE KEPT ME INSPIRED:

Surrounded by Giants, Sea in the Sky, Lost Things, Wolf & Bear, In Urgency, Sunny Acres, Vox Vocis, VIS, Tionesta, Crimson Arrow / Lesser Nature, Rogues Among Us, Belle Noire, Strawberry Girls, Eidola, Stolas, Eternity Forever, Hail the Sun.

Track Name: Veins
My car broke down during the coldest fall this town has ever felt.
I'm gonna fail again.
Here is your notice in advance.
I'll never thrive here--
letters and numbers feel like chains.
Give me a chance to prove there's more than failure in these veins.
We're just too different.
Inherited a flame and the logic that extinguishes it.
But I'll use this amalgamation of both of your bloods
to keep my promises to you.
This war will never end until I jump.
Breathe in//breathe out...

Breathe in, realize that your life is yours alone to pilot.
Track Name: Dichotomy
To love my own, or take all your love for me:
the crux of this rigid dichotomy.
She said, "you know everything doesn't have to be so black and white,
but you won't think that I'm right."

I've grown complacent with these crutches you gave me.
We're lying adjacent, but I can't feel myself there.

Your doubts might be valid,
but you gotta let go and let me drive from here.
No, I'm not changing.
I'm just growing into my skin.

To do what they want, or chase a childhood dream.
The choice has been weighing so heavily on my mind.
But I know that they're just looking out for me.
I become stagnant in safety.

Your doubts might be valid,
but you gotta let go and let me drive from here.
No I'm not changing,
I'm just growing into my skin.

If I have a plan B, then I'm setting plan A up to fail.
Commit to it.
Track Name: Opia (ft. Andres Aparicio)
Ain't this just like me, stressin over small things.
It's not the right thing, to act the way I'm behaving.

Growing up around here,
we were bound to share our DNA at least once or twice.
But I don't give a damn about the things we did when we were young
Or your other guys.

So let's not focus on that.
We can chill in my car all night.
I don't mean to be sad, you give me a scene heart attack.
So let's not focus on that.
I was unconditioned for the unconditional love that you give to me.

I call you up at midnight.
Said your roommate's finally asleep.
She said, "don't make me laugh too hard...just do that thing where you show your teeth".

(Andres)
Yeah, you need a shirt, need a shirt
Well, you can borrow that one.
She said "your room is cold, so keep me warm,
and afterwards we'll have fun"
And I can see where our potential is.
The way you have something to say about which road I took
Don't give me that "I-know-better" always-shoulder look
Cuz in the end I'm just another lesson in your book.

So let's not focus on that.
We can chill in my car all night.
I don't mean to be sad, you give me a scene heart attack.
So let's not focus on that.
I was unconditioned for the unconditional love that you give to me.
Track Name: Garden
The last time I turned the handle, cold hands steered me away. Spiders colonize all along the walls of your fortress down the stairs. This house is no longer a home. I still can't believe that you're gone... cuz I still feel you everywhere. I'm searching for anything that remains in the room where we used to play. I thought I heard you singing in the garden as the rain fell to the ground. I swore I heard you running through the basement, boarding up the walls to fight off the horde. I still hear you're rifle sound. I recall a time, an unfamiliar place. You cut off all your hair and grew it on your face. You asked me how was life, I said "it's all a waste without you here. It's all a waste." You looked me in the eyes as I began to wake and said "this life is yours, you just have to take the bad that comes with the good and everything in your life will work out the way it should." I still can't believe that you're gone, cuz I still feel you everywhere. I'm searching for anything that remains in the room where we used to play. I still can't believe that you're gone...but I'll stay strong.

Track Name: Flowers & Theft
Oh, Flower to my Theft--
I worry that my shores will not provide safe harbor.
You float upon the remains of a familiar comfort.
And we have both sailed these seas
and felt the strength of it's currents.

I am the unmoving iceberg.
I am the capsizing wave.

Will you forsake me to the freezing waters?
Or let me climb upon the wreckage and pray that we both survive?
You float upon the remains of a familiar comfort.
And we have both sailed these seas
and felt the strength of it's currents.

I am the unmoving iceberg.
I am the capsizing wave.

Intertwining tongues, burned into my mind,
shall keep my heart afloat.
As the sharks feast upon my body.

I breathe the salt into my nose
and the smoke into my lungs.
The vessel may have sank but I will not.
